This piece is a visual representation of the mother of the forest in Romanian folk tales.
The piece is part of the series entitled “The Archaic Imaginary” and investigates Romanian mythological stories and rituals through the creation of contemporary masks subtracted of the wearer’s power. Each piece is inspired by a different story from the Romanian folklore repertoire visualizing the esoteric meanings of isolated cultural experiences and actions.
