Organic and airy, this piece of furniture, Genesis by Celine Proust, evokes the intertwined, sinuous roots of the mangrove.

An ode to resilience: Inspired by the mangrove’s ability to thrive in challenging conditions, this furniture embodies strength and adaptability in the face of adversity. It incorporates architectural elements directly influenced by the complex root systems of mangroves, optimizing both stability and aesthetics.

This is made of steel furniture, welded and painted only on the two shelves (steel sheets).

Celine Proust, artist-metalworker. Born in France, 1982 Living in Brussels. Like my creations, my career has been marked by eclecticism. I started out as an actress in Paris, training at the Cours Florent and the Conservatoire Supérieur d'Art Dramatique. My move to Brussels in 2016 opened doors to the world of crafts and design. Interior architecture and metalwork have become a fervent passion in which my creativity is forged. Today, I'm one of a small circle of female metalworkers in Brussels.
