About Magdalena Szmydtke Visit Showroom →
Magdalena Szmydtke creates one-off ceramic sculptures and design objects, with each piece a unique testament to the mesmerizing beauty of the Baltic Sea. Her work translates its organic shapes, the ever-changing spectacle of light, and the soft undulations of dunes and waves into contemporary forms. Each object is meticulously hand-crafted from clay and glazed by hand with a brush, ensuring no two are truly alike. This hands-on process allows her to infuse every creation with an individual spirit.Magdalena’s distinctive artistic journey is shaped by a rich and varied background. Her academic pursuits at Gdańsk University, where she delved into both Biology and International Trade, instilled a unique perspective. This blend of scientific precision and a global understanding of interconnectedness, combined with professional experiences from an IT corporation in Poland to an Art Gallery in Dubai, and significant internships in both the USA and India, has cultivated a multifaceted approach to design. This global exposure and analytical rigor allow her to explore the delicate balance between natural inspiration and contemporary execution, creating ceramics that resonate with both organic fluidity and thoughtful consideration.
