“Event Horizon” is an investigation of boundary, pressure, and permanence. The title refers to the gravitational threshold beyond which light cannot escape—a metaphor for the object’s own inward pull and formal density.
The lamp is constructed from interlocking aluminium elements, then fixed with exposed screws. These are not hidden but highlighted—an intentional display of tension and technique. The overlapping joints and visible fasteners contribute to a technical aesthetic that embraces structure as language.
“Event Horizon” comes with three interchangeable stands, allowing the object to be placed both vertically and horizontally—each configuration revealing a different expression of its form. From upright beacon to grounded vessel, the lamp adapts while maintaining its gravitational presence.
A glowing orb at the center emits warm, diffused light. Its reflections unfold across the brushed aluminium surfaces, generating sharp shadows and radiant edges.
The visual language draws from Space Age design and the cinematic worlds of early science fiction—bridging a future that never arrived with a past that imagined it.
