ADORNO is pleased to announce 15 Minutes of Fame, a contemporary lamp exhibition that explores visibility, presence, and recognition through light and form. Taking place during Other CircleâCopenhagenâs new fair for post-disciplinary creative cultureâthe show will feature over 30 unique lamps created by independent designers and studios from across the globe.
In this dynamic installation, each lamp will have just fifteen minutes to illuminate the space before being unplugged and replaced by another. This rhythmic transition transforms the exhibition into a living ritualâan homage to the fleeting spotlight and the quiet power of objects at rest.
15 Minutes of Fame draws conceptual inspiration from Andy Warholâs iconic statement: âIn the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.â But it is equally shaped by a sense of childlike wonder, recalling animated tales where objects seem to possess inner life and voice.
The curatorial approach continues themes from ADORNOâs Persona exhibition, shifting the focus to performance, ephemerality, and the emotional charge of being seen. The show questions how value is perceivedâbeyond function, beyond fameâand underscores the individuality of each piece, whether illuminated or still.
This exhibition invites visitors to engage with light as metaphor, to observe the slow choreography of recognition, and to consider the quiet assertion of presence each object offers. It is not just a showcase of sculptural lightingâit is a reflection on identity, attention, and the beauty of shared time in the spotlight.
