Eye to Eye: Collectible Design Meets Fashion in Photoshoot for MUSE magazine
The lines between interior design and fashion are fading. More than ever, what we wear and how we decorate our homes tell our stories. This fusion was clear in the recent “EYE to EYE” photoshoot for Muse Magazine. This project saw set designer Alice Martinelli collaborate with Adorno and stylist John Clover to combine functional art with a curated selection of wearables from the renowned fashion houses of Isabel Marant, Acne Studios, Issey Miyake, Prada, Bottega Venetta, Givenchy, and Chloé. The outcome? A raw blend of fashion and pieces with attitude and shared material quality. Photographer Jeff Henrikson captured models Cami and Celeste in a series of stunning ensembles.

But why is this mix important? As consumers, we’re becoming more ethical. We want our choices, in fashion and home decor, to show who we are. These choices speak about our values. It’s not just about buying things. It’s about expressing our personality, both in our homes and our outfits. And as this photoshoot shows, these two worlds are closely connected.
This blend of interior design and fashion is reshaping how we view personal style. And thanks to collaborations like this, we see that blend in action. Fashion complements pieces and vice versa. In the end, making is about materials, character, and purpose, aspects that are often identical whether designers are making a chair or an outfit.
Historically, fashion has been one of the most influential mediums, to communicate culture, values, and even political agendas. The fact that fashion makes it possible to bring crafts out of our homes, naturally makes it reach a wider audience. Who would bring their lamp to an event? Hopefully, the footprint of fashion will continue to serve as a platform for crafts and object design to get an increasingly important role in today’s society. As we move forward, expect to see more of such exciting crossovers. The boundary between what we wear and how we live is set to blur even more, and we’re committed to the exploration of intersections of crafts and discipline.
