Annie Legault is a Montreal-based fiber artist whose practice embraces the principles of slow design. Since founding *Amulette* in 2013, she has been creating sculptural textile objects, functional fine art, and custom commissions for interior designers, collectors, and institutions. Working entirely by hand from her Old Montreal studio, Legault’s process is rooted in repetition, rhythm, and material sensitivity — favoring concept and craftsmanship over speed and technology.
Each piece reveals the artist’s touch through intentional gesture and refined technique. The result is a sense of intimacy and presence: warm, tactile works that exist at the intersection of sculpture, lighting, and textile art.
The TYPHA is a 3-foot-tall sculptural lamp named after a perennial grass commonly found in natural landscapes. It pays homage to the subtle poetry of nature, translating botanical influence into a refined interior piece. With its soft volume and clean vertical lines, TYPHA transforms space through light, shadow, and organic form. Its presence is both grounded and ethereal — a functional object that elevates the atmosphere of a room.
Part of the acclaimed RAW Collection — recipient of the 2019 Rado Star Prize Canada, presented by IDS Toronto — the TYPHA reflects Legault’s commitment to honoring the handmade and rethinking traditional textile techniques through a contemporary lens.
AMULETTE Studio produces limited-edition and site-specific works for galleries, commercial interiors, and private collectors — celebrating fiber as a sculptural medium in the realm of collectible design.
Each piece is made to order and can be customized in color and format to suit your needs.
