Description

The ‘Twisted Willow’ collection by Lia Raquel Marques, references basketry that uses oak and willow for making sturdy, functional objects, experimenting with various weaving patterns in a small scale. Using brown clay and glaze experiments to create detailed baskets while recreating certain aspects of wooden baskets such as the robust structure and colour while using delicate textural features.

Due to the gaps between the woven pattern this basket cannot hold water.
