Limited Edition Matcha Bowl (Edition of 10)
A soft pink gloop pours over the rim like a sweet cherry sugar drop—a thick, flowing glaze that settles into a sculptural accent, contrasting the textured surface beneath. The bowl itself is thrown stoneware, shaped by hand on the pottery wheel, and speckled with melted blue glass dots—like spring raindrops frozen mid-fall. The inside is glazed smooth, while the outside retains a tactile structure, enriched by the shimmering fragments.
The color and form capture a fleeting moment—that sweet, delicate bloom just before the spring rain arrives. A vessel that holds not just matcha, but the quiet beauty of something about to pass.
Originally created for SILENT MATTERS, a ceremonial installation presented during NYCxDESIGN 2025 by Silence Please and Adorno, this limited edition was part of a curated collection reinterpreting the traditional Chawan.
Perfect for matcha—but coffee is also welcome.
