The “Ray” pendant light highlights the translucency of marble and its unique crystalline quality.
This piece consists of a seamless volume of marble with no cables other than suspension wires. Where the marble is carved, light is introduced, which exposes the materiality of the precious rock and its unique vein pattern. As such, it is used both as a source of light and a decorative piece.
Thin and elegant, it is reminiscent of a ray of light.
Marble is a natural material, differences in the vein pattern may occur.

on∙entropy is a marble atelier established in 2009 in Athens and London. Marble, an archetypal Greek material, takes on an unconventional role in on∙entropy\'s designs; they encapsulate the contradiction of being heavy and compact and at the same time vulnerable, fragile and translucent. Its diverse character is the core of the atelier’s founding mission: to experiment with marble and its entropy; its transformation potential & inherent limitations. The result is the craftsmanship of intricate and delicate creations, evolving its diachronic qualities in an imaginative & contemporary way. Created and run by sisters Niki and Zoe Moskofoglou, on• entropy is the fruit of 40 year family affair with marble in Greece. Niki Moskofoglou is an architect with an academic training in Design. Her work demonstrates an architectural detailing and instinct of how Space and Object can surpass mere function. Zoe Moskofoglou is a civil engineer with expertise in Sustainable Heritage. She cultivates her passion in the marriage of cultural and natural environment through academic research in Cultural Landscapes.
Presenting “PROXIMITY”, a collection created in collaboration with Southern Sweden Design Days showcasing a selection of new work from ten designers and studios. As a whole, the collection contemplates the notion of proximity, interconnection, and belonging. Whether through contemporary references to traditional crafts techniques; the use of locally sourced materials such as wool, lichen, steel, and wood; or playful visualisations of the notion itself, the selected pieces illustrate the importance of closeness, interconnection, and kinship in uncertain times. Featuring pieces by Andrea Santivanez, Andréason & Leibel, Ebba Lindgren, Förstberg Ling, Jóna Berglind Stefánsdóttir, Lab La Bla, Lisa Darland, Louise Hederström, Moa Lönn, and Studio M. Organised by Form/Design Center in Malmö, Sweden, Southern Sweden Design Days is an annual event currently in its second edition, which highlights sustainability, collaboration, development, and innovation in design. This year’s theme, as described by the event organisers, “[reflects] on the notion of being close – the connection between people, cities, countries, species, professions, etc”. The physical exhibition of “PROXIMITY” will take place at Lokstallarna, Södra Bulltoftavägen 51, 212 22 Malmö from 19 - 22 May 2022.
