Description

The Miyah Bedsides were inspired by the Don Heston Pill Box Coffee table. The Miyah is available in American Oak satin finish and the signature Penny chocolate finish. The bespoke handmade Brass handles are cast in-house at the London studio, echoing the texture found in Don Heston’s Amorphous Jewellery line that translates across to recent pieces of furniture. Telling a story about the importance of maintaining our reverence for natural materials and textures.

The Pole legs continue Don Heston Studios’ playful aesthetic yet maintain an interesting and extravagant composure. True to form.

About Don Heston Studio Visit Showroom →

As a self-taught Designer Maker navigating the complex landscape of contemporary design, I embrace a path that celebrates individuality and fosters creative exploration. My work is steeped in a thoughtful reverence for the natural world, as I seek to delve into the textures and patterns that often go unnoticed by mainstream sensibilities. Each handmade piece reflects my commitment to sustainability, utilizing ethically sourced materials that resonate with a deeper appreciation of their origins. I draw inspiration from the nuanced intricacies of nature's design—each curve, each texture tells a story that transcends the ordinary. The allure of imperfections becomes a central theme in my process, as I find inspiration in the organic beauty that defies rigid conventions. By infusing my creations with these elements, I aspire to evoke a sense of timelessness and harmony, inviting others to reconsider the aesthetics of the materials around us. In crafting furniture, I approach each design as a dialogue between the piece and the space it will inhabit. My keen eye for richly textured woods and vibrant colours speaks to an appreciation for the diverse heritage of materials often overlooked. This exploration serves not only to beautify environments but also to highlight the intricate narratives that accompany them—stories of resilience, transformation, and the profound connection we share with our surroundings. My commitment to sustainable practices is an invitation for others to join in reimagining our relationship with the material world. By embracing what is often avoided, I hope to inspire a broader conversation about the richness found in diversity and the importance of a conscientious approach in our creative endeavours. Each piece I create becomes a silent ambassador for this philosophy, encouraging appreciation for the beauty that lies beyond the surface and advocating for a world that honours both heritage and the environment.
