The TOPO Lamp by B.C. Joshua is a new series of wall-hanging functional canvases inspired by adventurers and explorers of old, referencing design language from old mine shafts and topographic maps. The sinuous lighting cable is used as a focal point, travelling through an undulating terrain until it reaches the metal cage lamp which shines downwards reflecting off the graded surface.
The Topo Canvases are made from a material called GyPulp (recycled paper mixed with salvaged and ground plasterboard) and are built around a wired armature. This is framed in a British Scots Pine.
