Description

This is not an incense holder; it is a welding exercise. A tube cut lengthwise, the weld standing proud—both protagonist and motif. Its profile is archetypal, light, almost like a seagull in flight, carrying with it the scent of the sea. Kaioa means seagull. I extinguish the incense with a clap. I shut the workshop—it is already night. Dinner is waiting. These are welding exercises, so I don’t forget, so I don’t lose the practice of my hands.
