Description

Lamp Gigi is a floor lamp, produced as a limited edition of 50 pieces and entirely handmade. The base is formed from a single block of Carrara marble from which a fine metal rod rises. On this rod can run a fork modeled to accommodate the lamp. The fork can be positioned at any point and at any height of the rod and automatically locks wherever you leave it, only because of its shape and the weights involved. this allows a certain degree of customization of the product according to the needs of use.
The project is made up of a few simple elements, a regular base, a rod, a light bulb, and an electric cable, which establish a dialectical relationship often based on contrast. For example between the sinuous fluidity of the wire and the perfect straightness of the rod or the marble edges, or between the heaviness of the base and the lightness of the metal part. The whole project is based on balance.

This lamp works with 220 volts but it is possible to put any bulb for lower volts that fits into a standard E27 socket.
