Description

Collaboration with Verre d’Onge
Gigi Grande, with its elegant geometry and its refined details, stands in the space like a beacon of glass and light. Created under the breath of the glassblower, its shades and its glass components are unique, making each lamp an exclusive object.
In its desire to explore and rethink the classical glass lamp, Studio d’Armes and Verre d’Onge pushed the limits of the glass to create Gigi Grande, which possesses monumental dimensions for this art.
Its high-quality lighting emanates from three bidirectional light engines (CRI ≥93) and can be dimmed to a warmer shade (dim-to-warm 4000k-2200k).
Features:
3 High-quality two-way lighting modules (2200 Lumens, 93+ CRI).
Dim-to-Warm (3000K to 2200K).

Nestled in the lush landscape of Quebec’s Laurentian mountains, d’Armes boasts a tight-knit team of professionals, designers and craftsmen thoughtfully weaving in tandem refined, distinct and timeless designs. Extensive research, fine engineering and experimentation in materiality, tension, light and space deliver illuminated sculptural pieces featuring disparate elements that inspire unique emotional responses. Each unconventional design is a mystifying enigma hidden in plain sight, beckoning intuitive interpretation and providing escapism with a sublime celestial intensity. With a world that prioritizes process, design thinking and novelty, the studio cemented strong relationships with a local and international roster of clients, captivated by the unflinching commitment to the rich narrative of light. The constant need for reinvention, the endless aesthetic curiosity and the vast inspirational natural playground fuels D’Armes every day to create extraordinary lighting for contemporary and classic spaces. The making of a d’Armes lighting piece sees extensive hours of work in design, research, testing, crafting, and assembly.
