These blue / green pendants are made to order. Each one is wonderfully unique and one-of-a-kind. Behind every pendant lies a meticulous handcrafting process that brings it to life. Beginning with the pouring of porcelain slip onto plaster slabs, they transform from liquid to solid. This technique not only allows for the precise shaping of each light but also ensures the unique texture and character that only handcrafting can impart. This process instills a sense of authenticity and individuality into each ceiling lamp, as the subtle variations and imperfections encountered along the way are part of each pendant’s journey. Made with Australian porcelain which contains micro-fine iron free bentonite with the brightest firing kaolins, resulting in a silky smooth body with a glossy finish that is translucent. In firing reduction it is a unique blue/white colour, which enables added stains to appear particularly vibrant in contrast. The unique translucent qualities of the pure porcelain clay body delivers unparalleled iridescent and luminous qualities.

Purchase includes 80mm white canopy, white PVC flex ready for install by a certified electrician.

To achieve her lighting’s remarkable diaphanous effect, Sarah honed her artistry at the National Art School in Sydney, mastering an unique technique of pouring clay slip on a plaster slab, then heightening its luminous properties by adding iridescent colours to the porcelain, which results in exquisite celestial translucency when internally lit. She repairs the porcelain which has shattered in firing stages with Kintsugi gold leaf technique, combating wasting with circular economy. A dual existence as fine art and function design. Each lit surface reveals unique one-of-a-kind idiosyncrasies, embracing the intriguing variations inherent in the handcrafting process.
