This ‘Aiguafreda’ water vase is part of an edition of 40 different vases.
It plays with weight and counter-weight to keep the flower vertical. The counterweight is used as the base and creates an optical illusion working as a magnifier when filled with water. Filling it with water requires an easy ritual: you just need to make sure all air gets out of the base before filling up the vertical tube.
It is a simple piece, made by two borosilicate glass pieces, hand-blown and welded together.
Made by hand in Barcelona, Spain.
