Evelyn Sitter is a textile artist and designer based in Berlin. In her studio practice she constructs large-scale weavings simultaneously with paintings: On her countermarch-loom from the 19th century she paints the warp threads during the weaving process directly on the loom. In her process all steps are done by hand, taking time for each string of mostly 1000 warp yarns. Deconstruction, reversal of technical sequences guide her process.
