Leva Gudelaityté’s Vox wall lamp, crafted from marble dust, redefines the relationship between materiality and transparency. This interplay creates a striking tension between solidity and translucence, where the tactile presence of the material meets the intangible quality of light.
The design draws deeply from the ancient symbolism of the ear as a vessel of perception and understanding. In many cultures, the ear was revered as a conduit for wisdom, communication, and divine receptivity. In Vox, light becomes a metaphor for knowledge, passing through the material as if through a sensory gateway. It illuminates the surrounding space while encouraging reflection on the profound act of receiving and interpreting—a poetic interplay between the seen, the sensed, and the understood.
