The Transformational Console is an exploration of movement — of journeys made visible through form. A brass top, cast from a wood-and-rope assembly, holds a rhythmic pattern of drilled holes, where lines of passage are punctuated by moments of choice: some paths continue seamlessly, others come to an abrupt end, and still others require a redirection. Beneath this narrative surface, a solid teak wood base — charred and brushed to emphasize its grain — carries the top with quiet resilience. The architectural solidity of the base contrasts with the delicate terrain above, anchoring the piece as both a functional object and a sculptural reflection. In its composition, this console mirrors life’s unseen maps — where progression, rupture and adaptation are always intertwined.
The console’s wooden base and brass top are to be assembled at the installation site.
