The cabinet in love is based on a person who is a total cabinet! Well organized and sharp, the person fell in love. The hard character turned into dreamy and soft. From stiff and edgy, the cabinet became fragile and emotional. Love bent the sharp angles of the drawers and changed the cabinet’s system from inside-out. Made with CNC and hand-carved surface, it combines traditional cabinet-making techniques and new technologies. Each handle is a unique glass or ceramic piece. The facade is set with sand-cast glass pieces. The cabinet was repainted in 2024.

The shelves can open and close.

Masha Volkova (b. 2000, Moscow) is an object artist. She creates sculpture-like furnitures and furniture-like sculptures in which she decodes the personality of objects. Her works are characters with wooden skeletons. These characters transmit through explicit shapes and textures. Layered structures and loaded facades attract curiosity and invite to take a closer look at often-overlooked objects. Her practice is an ongoing investigation around the dynamics of objecti- fication, inviting us to consider not only the functions of everyday objects but also their ethics and mean- ings.
