    Description

    Soft tower is a standing tower light piece designed by Dogtooth; made of a tubular frosted glass lightbulb, vibrated aluminium plates and natural transparent latex. Inspired by nature use of spikes or hooks as a way not only to repulse but to attach.
    Like a bur who uses hooks or teeth to propagate itself by using animals. The latex is free to be played with, stretching it on the arms or letting it free to move in the wind. Produced in Brussels, the light is 97cm tall and has a 38cm diameter, the lightbulb is dimmable. The aluminium shapes are drawn by accidents; pictures of broken objects. The repetition of the drawing thanks to laser cutting brings an aesthetical paradox. 8 arms are arrayed around three disks on which the latex cover is draped on.
