Description

This collection of wood veneer lamps by Sheyang Li explores new forms through pattern cutting inspired by textiles and paper craft. Each piece combines a patterned wood veneer shade with a hand-welded steel base, where small imperfections highlight the handmade process. Patchworks of veneer are used not only for their visual impact, but also to strengthen the naturally fragile material — a nod to the practical repairs often hidden in the making process, now turned into a feature.

About Sheyang Li Visit Showroom →

As a designer moving between object design and sculpture, Sheyang focuses on research and the development of his own production processes. He finds joy in the unexpected, guiding the material just enough to shape it according to his vision, while allowing room for unpredictability in the outcome. This approach lets the material's natural formation emerge within the object.
