    Description

    The Sleepy is the smaller version of the Laziness rocking chair and is just as comfortable, perfect for moments of rest and relaxation. The low seat height is inspired by Japanese rocking chairs, while the wooden frame is strongly influenced by Brazilian modernist furniture. The upholstery is soft and cozy, and can be covered in fabric or leather. It comes with a rocking footstool for added comfort.

    Amilcar Oliveira, originally from São Paulo, carries the legacy of his father and grandfather, both passionate carpenters. Inspired by the knowledge passed down through generations, he created his first piece — the Square Armchair — during the pandemic, marking the beginning of am.o, an artisanal design brand dedicated to his creations. Founded by Amilcar, who is also a film director and designer, am.o was born from his desire to craft furniture the old-fashioned way, using traditional woodworking techniques handed down from father to son over three generations. Each piece is entirely handmade by the designer himself, using joinery techniques without nails or screws — only certified solid wood, glue, and a great deal of passion. Finishes incorporate natural materials such as Indian cane, genuine leather, and natural oils, celebrating the authenticity and beauty of raw materials.
