Its brutalist aluminum frame is intentionally uninviting, impractical — almost defiant in its lack of comfort. Breaking this constructivist severity, eight low-relief inserts in oak or ceramic introduce a tactile, nostalgic softness.
Each one bears a motif drawn from the decorative vocabulary of Provence — olive branches, lavender, grapes, cicadas… patterns once omnipresent in local artisanal furniture, textiles, and objects.
These are ornamental gestures that serve no function, yet carry deep sensorial weight : sound, sight, smell, touch — souvenirs of the Provençal landscape (garrigue in French).
Rooted in personal memory and Mediterranean folklore, Garriga doesn’t merely serve , it interrupts. A poetic refusal. A place to sit, perhaps — but mostly, a place to feel.
Made to order. Terracota on the sides can be glazed in your desired color or stay raw.
