“Cruising II” is both a functional light source and a narrative piece, highlighting the hidden histories and private desires of a culture that sought connection in the shadows. It brings together the resilience of nature, the elegance of history, and the enduring human need for connection, making it a powerful statement piece for any space. The base features a meticulously sculpted clay tree, glazed with copper oxide for a rich, metallic sheen and glassy gradients of turquoise. This tree rises from a base of clay tiles designed to mimic those of Victorian bathroom tiles, symbolising spaces of privacy and historical significance. The lampshade, made from transparent blown plastic formed through a steel wire frame, creates the canopy. Adorning the top of the lampshade are translucent, 3D-printed leaves and flowers through which the light shines through.
The lamp hosts two standard E14 bulb connections. The plug is a standard EU connection however can be replaced as required.
