The Arbo vessel stands as a testament to radical minimalism, drawing inspiration from the mighty roots of the Amazon rainforest. Its design echoes the simplicity and strength found in nature, paying homage to the intricate network of life that thrives beneath the forest canopy.
This one-of-a-kind piece is entirely handcrafted using coiling and sculpting techniques. An oxide slip is applied to achieve its satin finish, while the interior is vitrified, creating a refined contrast with the brut exterior surface.

Lucia Mondadori (b.1981) is a Brazilian ceramic artist based in Paris. Her sculptural work explores the aesthetic interplay between the organic and the symbolic. In a language of rounds and curves, where brut stoneware meets refined glaze work, the forms are voluptuous, sometimes totemic, and always serene.
