Metal Stools: Where Durability Meets Design

Förstberg Ling’s “Very Good Stool” in Steel takes a deep dive into Brutalist design. Each part stacks and slots with purpose, adding a layer of galvanized texture for a rugged, hardcore look.

This Tubular steel stool forms part of the Series O.F.I.S (Obejcts From Intersticial Space), an ongoing research of industrial material’s potential for narrative.

Októ is a multi-functional Space Age object by Tinna Gunnarsdottir. It can work as a stool, a side table, a partition, a centrepiece, and more.

“Tori” is a Bauhaus sand-casted aluminum stool, created using the lost foam technique and inspired by the Japanese arch that marks the boundary between the profane and the sacred space.

In the Brutalist “Pressure” series, Tim Teven uses material deformation under extreme pressure as a tool to design. The deformation of metal by exerting pressure leads to exciting technical details, as well as new optical and haptic qualities.

The Space Age “Fringefloss Stool” is a stainless steel stool by Andrea Santivanez that can be used with its tailored seat cushion (“Fringefloss”) that was translated from a traditional and extinct carpet in Southern Sweden.

RAILS® is a unique Brutalist concept that bridges the gap between functional design and art. Inspired by a railway track section, the functional sculptures are playful, graphic and ergonomic. 

A common item in steel houses, the Minimalist 180º curve is the starting point for the development of the collection. Using this element of industrial origin and organic format, we seek to create affable pieces, which transmit softness incorporated into the rawness of the material.

This version adds another layer of structure and texture. Slightly more complex. Very rugged. Very hardcore.
