    Description

    This piece by Jackrabbit Studio is based on horizontal dowels providing lateral structure and being the seat. The use of dowels references the full log vigas, Spanish for “beams”, in Southwestern adobe structures. Simple, practical, and beautiful, the Viga chair can be standalone or a set.

    This piece features western red cedar sides, Ash wood dowels, and leather back. But can be customized.

    Jackrabbit Studio was founded in 2018 by self taught furniture designer Brett Miller. Miller’s work draws heavily on simple, functional forms generally inspired by architecture, abstract shapes and suggestions of movement that lend themselves to tactile interaction. Miller’s goal is to create unique pieces that are intuitive, curious, and that push the natural boundaries of a given material and one’s perception of what is and what should be.
