A carpenter and a graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - School of Design, Henrik Frederiksen founded his own design studio while he was working at numerous furniture companies. Under the aegis of his studio, and of his furniture company, InaCircle, he designs furniture and related products, primarily for the home, that favor simplicity of design and moderation in materials. Above all, his work emphasizes function while keeping aesthetic balance and harmony, stressing that there must always be a logical clarity of material and form. He often makes experimental prototypes and more sculptural installations, discovering new ways to innovate in the process. He has produced work for the likes of Veksø, Ikea, Dan-Intra, Invatarum, Softline, Hammel Møbelfabrik, Forskningscenter Risø (afdelingen for materialeforskning), Danisco Distillers, De Danske Spritfabrikker, Silkeborg kommune, Orebo Træindustri samt InaCircle, and he is the recipient of a grant from the Danish Ministry of Culture.
