Inspired by the Mediterranean, by the Maghreb Ksar, with seats made entirely of raw land, natural oils, and waxes. They are a metaphor and abstraction of the typical Moroccan collective dwellings, in which spaces – or even entire buildings – were provided for community life.
Conceived to form a sort of open and not entirely defined circle, the seats alternate between single and multiple to emphasise and encourage conversation and exchange. With their almost primitive and deliberately monolithic forms, they are identified as elements that suggest and remind the viewer of the need and pleasure of stopping and talking.

STUDIO TERRE, an experimental art studio where art is created from the act of living, we create collectible sculptural design pieces, and we believe in the philosophy of slow living.
The creative flow instructs every aspect of the life of Nino, artist and co-founder together with Riccardo, and Jufà, another artist of the group.
Mediterranee, through their creations, want to take you to the unique, utopian place where their vision of the world and of things is.
\"We think that art is a reflection of society and of what happens in that particular historical period.
In the moment of great change in which we find ourselves, more than ever we feel the need to focus and communicate something true,
we try to take a step back and focus on what we think is important, in our vision there is a strong call to home, tradition and the land.
A return to the roots and foundations of our culture. \"
By creating unique pieces, without creative constraints, art, craftsmanship and design come together.
Without setting limits, therefore, in terms of materials, techniques and tools to be used in order to communicate their vision: the need to return to a Mediterranean way of life, linked to the origins.
\"We embrace the philosophy of slow design to move further and further away from the frenzy and alienation that today\'s society secretly imposes on you, we try to return to more natural rhythms.\"
The body of work in this collection consists of pieces by Greek designers of the mainland and the diaspora, or international professionals who live and work in Greece. As a common theme we tackle the elusive notion of “Greekness” and how this transpires through the work of seemingly diverse and distinct individuals. In our attempt to define “Greekness”, we aim to raise questions about how this plays out in the work presented.
How do Greek designers view their identity? Is it through their effort to decipher their heavy heritage? Is form important in order to achieve a predisposed classic elegance, or is a philosophical disposition towards shape more poignant? Could it be simply a resourcefulness and DIY ethic to make up for the absence of design infrastructure?
How do Greek designers based abroad deal with their background? Could it be that they simply ignore it in order to finally free themselves? Is there a certain amount of innovation necessary in order to channel it into the new environment?
Finally, how do foreign designers see their work influenced by their Greek surroundings? Is it the reference through the use of noble materials such as marble or the abundance of natural light that makes their work unquestionably Greek? Or could it be something else they were seeking when they decided to move here, something abstract like humour or drama? Could their arrival finally mean a departure from Greek heritage’s self-reference?
The pieces that we present might seem ill-matched, but they share an important core element. They are confident in their narrative of a personal story of identity, that is either at peace or against the Greek archetype. Through this communication, they all describe a culturally mature and vibrant scene that is finally extroverted and coming of age.
