Description

The Rocks are an experience for the user. We have selected from nature the rock shapes most likely to indicate a seat. The shapes we’ve chosen offer a wide variety of seating positions, with users looking for their posture, sometimes cross-legged, sometimes leaning on the rocks… It’s up to them to find the position that suits them best. Like Franz West’s Paßstücke, Rocks invites users to experiment and play.

The Rocks are colored in the mass with ochres from the color-rich soils of Roussilon, in southeastern France. Users can choose from different shades of these natural pigments to integrate the rocks into their interiors. The colors are both soft and deep, changing with the light that falls on them. They oscillate between shades of pink and white, making them almost alive. When rocks are in a room, they are like stopping points, a time to rest during a walk.
