Inspired by Japan’s long standing traditions of serving tea and the ceremonies that surround it, OBJ-01 is a minimal tray intended for use as a serving platter or display object.

Milled from a single piece of aluminum, the tray’s inner and outer edges remain visually sharp. The tray sits on two feet, raising it just enough to allow ones fingers to comfortably slide underneath the tray and lift from the bottom. Additionally, the raised short edges offer an ergonomic hold for fingers while moving the tray from surface to surface.

His designs are rooted in visual simplicity that’s driven by form, with a strong focus on highlighting specific materials.
