About am.o atelier Visit Showroom →

Amilcar Oliveira, originally from São Paulo, carries the legacy of his father and grandfather, both passionate carpenters. Inspired by the knowledge passed down through generations, he created his first piece — the Square Armchair — during the pandemic, marking the beginning of am.o, an artisanal design brand dedicated to his creations.Founded by Amilcar, who is also a film director and designer, am.o was born from his desire to craft furniture the old-fashioned way, using traditional woodworking techniques handed down from father to son over three generations. Each piece is entirely handmade by the designer himself, using joinery techniques without nails or screws — only certified solid wood, glue, and a great deal of passion. Finishes incorporate natural materials such as Indian cane, genuine leather, and natural oils, celebrating the authenticity and beauty of raw materials.
