Description

Annie Legault is a dedicated slow-design artist who handcrafts each textile piece with precision and care in her Old Montreal studio. Since launching her project Amulette in 2013, she has built a reputation for creating unique handcrafted objects, functional fine art, and custom commissions that balance concept-driven innovation with a minimalist, low-technology approach.
At the heart of Legault’s work is a profound mastery of repetitive hand gestures, that each piece carries the unmistakable warmth and human presence that only handcrafted work can offer, highlighting the intimate connection between maker and material.
Among her notable creations is LOLA, a functional textile art piece that belongs to the RAW COLLECTION. Designed and brought to life entirely in her Old Montreal studio, the collection is a thoughtful homage to the natural world and its enduring influence on design. The use of purely natural materials coupled with time-honored textile techniques lends the pieces a distinctive character, bridging ancestral craft with contemporary aesthetics.

The RAW COLLECTION is especially distinguished by its series of monumental sculptural lamps, which serve as a testament to the artist’s skill and vision. These large-scale light sculptures embody a dialogue between form and function, tradition and innovation, inviting collectors to engage with textile art on a grand, immersive scale.
Through AMULETTE, Annie Legault continues to champion the values of slow design and craftsmanship, offering works that are not only visually striking but also imbued with a rich narrative of cultural heritage and artisanal expertise. Her creations stand as collectible design pieces that celebrate the human touch in a world increasingly dominated by mass production and technology.

Each piece can be made to order with lots of color options to fit your style and space perfectly.
