“Equilibrium” by Ia Liparteliani is a ceramic lamp that symbolizes the duality of human nature. It represents the inner balance between the contrasting forces within us — light and dark, strength and vulnerability, motion and stillness. These dualities coexist within each person, and at different times, one may outweigh the other. The lamp serves as a gentle reminder that true peace, true illumination, arises not from denying one side, but from embracing both. Balance is not static — it is a living, shifting harmony. In that balance, the light of the soul is born.

The piece was made by hand using clay, glaze, and magnets. It features two ceramic sockets and a light bulb.

Ia Liparteliani lives and works in Tbilisi (Georgia) . She was born in 1979. She is a painter/interior and product designer. Ia received B.A. in Painting from J.Nikoladze College of Art and complete an M.A. in Media Art (Tbilisi State Academy of Art) in 2006. In later years she used her experience to try and innovate her society by creating a design studio that centered around creating innovative projects in her country as well as implementing her views in art which was later exposed in many expositions in: Tbilisi, Amsterdam, Kiev, Venice, Milan, London, LA, NY, Vancouver, Cologne. The most important in her art life is participation in a Georgian National Pavilion on the 56th Venice Art Biennale . 2015.
