Description

This pair of mouthblown wine goblets by Lucie Claudia Podrabska is inspired by glassware that dates back to the 15th century. In medieval times, wine goblets were not just vessels for holding liquids; they held ceremonial significance. Goblets were often used in religious rituals, feasts, and essential gatherings, and some goblets were adorned with applied decorations, such as glass trails or small blobs of glass. These embellishments not only served an aesthetic purpose of looking simply dashing but also provided additional grip when eating greasy foods with your hands.

It is brought to life by a father-son glasshouse nestled in the bohemian forest in the Czech Republic, a region that carries a legacy for its crystal and glassmaking. Each piece is made using time-honored, artisanal techniques that have existed since the 1400’s.

These wine goblets are sold as a pair.
The goblets are 20cm tall and 7cm wide, and their contents hold up to 320ml.
They are crystal glass tinted with a light grey hue.
