This handcrafted rug showcases an earthy, architectural pattern inspired by brick textures and structural lines. Draken Studio is the tapestry project from Buenos Aires graphic designer Victoria Gondra. Rug Designs are first hand drawn on paper and then woven in cotton fabric with yarn using a hand tufting machine. All rugs are made in limited editions and as part of an collection which carries its own peculiarities, inspiration and narrative . Regardless of creating a geometrical or an organic design we always distance ourselves from clean and perfect lines because we are interested in revealing the artisans trace in each rug we produce. With this in mind as the brand motto we insure our products originality and the continuos growing of the project. We move away from repetition and challenge our creativity by avoiding producing large quantities enhancing the uniqueness and intentionality behind each collection. All rugs are in haus produced by a small team of designers and craftwomen who are constantly looking for the best Argentinians source materials.
