Artefacts are sculptures and center pieces made of scraps, leftovers from the various projects of the workshop, sometimes found materials, but also scraps of the intuition, instant inspiration, accidents turned into valuable pieces. Made of various woods, using only sustainable and traditional techniques, they are unique pieces. They explore their creators’ thought of the time over our relationship to wood, objects, craft, and what we consider to be our civilization, searching to capture the genuine human ability to create beauty from humble, yet rich materials.

Artefact 108 is made of Ash, Ebonized French Oak, and Mahogany.

About Benjamin Foucaud Visit Showroom →

After years as creative Director & designer for major brands, Benjamin found peace in his own studio as a woodworker and cabinet maker. Primary using hand tools and ancient techniques, he focuses on his trade as high end builder, mastering a large set of skills, as well as defining his "non industrial designer" role, interrogating processes, technics, and valuation of wood towards our contemporary problematics and desires. This is why aside from furniture, he produces and build himself objects and sculptures, mainly unique pieces available trough Adorno. Inspired by the form of the wood pieces he finds in the workshop, cultural testimony and interrogation about what our civilization consider as being human. He delivers unique and sculptural pieces where wood becomes rich or humble, rough or sophisticated, simple or surprising.
