| Biography |
Designers Vanessa Yuan and Joris Vanbriel co-founded ecoBirdy in 2018, after a two-year study that resulted in a recycled and recyclable plastic material called ecothylene®.
Based in Belgium, in the fashion design capital Antwerp. ecoBirdy redesigns plastic waste into beautiful and inspiring furniture, through its patented upcycling process that includes material analysis and integration of the design concept into the production process.
In recognition of its vision and mission, ecoBirdy became a Certified B Corporation in 2019, confirming its commitment to high standards of social and environmental responsibility. In the following year, it was awarded the label of Efficient Solution by the Solar Impulse Foundation.
