Biography |
After years as creative Director & designer for major brands, Benjamin found peace in his own studio as a woodworker and cabinet maker. Primary using hand tools and ancient techniques, he focuses on his trade as high end builder, mastering a large set of skills, as well as defining his "non industrial designer" role, interrogating processes, technics, and valuation of wood towards our contemporary problematics and desires. This is why aside from furniture, he produces and build himself objects and sculptures, mainly unique pieces available trough Adorno. Inspired by the form of the wood pieces he finds in the workshop, cultural testimony and interrogation about what our civilization consider as being human. He delivers unique and sculptural pieces where wood becomes rich or humble, rough or sophisticated, simple or surprising.
