The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) is returning to New York’s Javits Center from May 18-20, 2025, continuing its tradition as North America’s leading platform for global design. Under the thematic umbrella of “Designing in Harmony,” this year’s fair celebrates design approaches that emphasize human connection, sensory experience, and cultural diversity.
ICFF 2025 arrives at a time of significant change in the design industry. Economic shifts and global challenges have created both obstacles and opportunities, requiring innovative responses from designers worldwide. The fair provides a timely forum for exploring adaptable, sustainable solutions that address these evolving conditions.
“Creativity and empathy are the foundational principles that should continue to guide our industry as we shape the future,” note ICFF Brand Directors Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat. “Its mission is to design spaces, products, and experiences that address the needs of tomorrow, creating a future that is both optimistic and sustainable.”
Visitors to this year’s fair will experience a reimagined layout designed by Rodolfo Agrella Design Studio (RADS). The thoughtful floor plan creates distinct experiential zones, beginning with the sophisticated Ligne Roset Welcome Lounge.
The WANTED section stands as the fair’s most dynamic feature, showcasing independent designers and emerging talents. This carefully curated platform has become a highlight of ICFF, drawing significant attention from industry professionals seeking fresh perspectives.
WANTED encompasses several complementary initiatives: Launch Pad introduces promising new designers; Look Book highlights exceptional creative portfolios; the Design Schools Workshop encourages educational collaboration; and the Schools Showcase presents student innovations. Together, these programs offer crucial visibility to emerging talents within the broader design community.
