A reversible plate with irregular thickness, shaped by the demands of a closed slip-casting mold—built to hold pressure, to resist impact. The center is slightly thickened, the rim thin and beveled, echoing the porcelain of Bidasoa by André Ricard. Its raised center rises like a small hill emerging from the surface, a quiet topography that brings depth and variation to the act of serving. It creates more possibilities of use on either side, while its stackable design saves space without losing presence. Glazing is applied only to the defined areas of use, making cleaning easier and allowing a single firing in the oven. Made by Ángel Alfaro, who began his career at Lladró at just 19, and today runs his own workshop in Tavernes Blanques (Valencia), where he continues to apply the same standards of quality and first-rate porcelain.
