A decorative piece by ǑS Estudio, inspired by the ancient process of nixtamalization. Nixtamalization is the process in which corn is cooked with water and lime to produce nixtamal. After being ground, the nixtamal becomes the dough used for making tortillas, tamales, and other traditional foods.
This piece is made from glazed ceramic or red clay, with a base crafted from volcanic stone.
