Description

La Curva is the result of an extensive research project on the use of seating in movies. It explores the relationship between furniture and film, fiction and reality. Imagining a world where seating is not solely looked at, as an object you can sit on, but rather as a representation of a thought, a mood or character. The chair was born out of the idea of giving importance to backrests in seating.

This has been an area I have explored through looking at how characters can be perceived through “their chair” and how it can shape someone’s visual image.
The chair takes the minimalist profile of a humans sitting position with an L-shape leg. The linear pattern created is then repeated in an obsessive manner in order to create a never ending possibility of design.
