Shallow drinking glasses. Hypnosis glasses are hand-blown in Istanbul using the Cesm-i bulbul technique. It’s a distinguished method deeply rooted in Turkish glassmaking with origins tracing back to the Ottoman Empire. During the 18th century, artists sent to Venice refined and perfected the Filigrana technique, giving rise to Çeşm-i Bülbül as a distinctive style characterized by its repetitive and delicate droplet-shaped motifs. The significance of the Çeşm-i Bülbül technique lies in its demand for a high level of craftsmanship and experience. Mastery is required to align very thin and colored glass sticks precisely while preventing their fusion, all while shaping the object to its final form.
