Description

The Folding Screen, conceived as a soft boundary, PARAVENT separates without enclosing, allowing space to breathe. Its structure is based on a simple vertical rhythm, subtly displaced by circular perforations. These slight shifts loosen the strict alignment, introducing movement and variation into an otherwise architectural system.
Light enters the surface in uneven pulses — at times as a thin line, at times as a rounded glimmer. The object does not function as a static screen, but as an atmosphere: a quiet choreography of shadow, reflection, and density that evolves with movement, time, and changing light conditions.

Zoé Wolker is an architect and founder of Zoé Wolker Studio, a Lisbon-based practice working across architecture, interiors, and furniture design. With over 15 years of experience, Zoé is recognized for her refined, harmonious approach that bridges functionality and sculptural expression. After earning her degree in Architecture in 2010, she co-led an architectural studio before founding her practice in 2021. Her work spans diverse typologies and geographies — from private residences in Portugal to a yacht in the Balearics and a luxury hotel in Kazakhstan — reflecting her versatility and strong spatial sensitivity. In 2024, the studio introduced its first furniture line, the AME Collection, marking a new chapter in Zoé’s creative journey. Blurring the lines between design and art, the collection explores the relationship between material, form, and light. It premiered at Collectible Fair in Brussels 2025, positioning the studio within the international collectible design scene.
