Description

The Chroma collection by Montserrat Piña Benetts consists of a folding screen and a floor lamp that seek to break the confines of their own materiality. By filtering the light through them, they magnify their presence creating an effect where different shades of color mix and flood the space they inhabit. What happens if we think of objects beyond what they are, and reflect on how they impact the space around them? This proposal shows how pieces of furniture interact with their surroundings, allowing users to have control not only over objects, but also over the entire atmosphere of a room.

Chroma was developed through multiple experimentations in materials, colors, transparencies and reflections, which resulted in a multifaceted collection, becoming the protagonist of the space it occupies.
