Description

Just as the land is plowed for new planting, objects are also revisited in search of new airs. The Arado collection is composed of two lines: table objects and stools. The pieces explore materialities and techniques of traditional objects that, in a way, represent the Minas Gerais culture: enameled dishes and country stools. The reinterpretation made by Estúdio Dentro proposes an update in the use of these traditional typologies.

In the table objects, the enameled dishes are the central narrative. They create containers for objects, fruits or even flowers. The wood pieces serve as a base for the delicate enameled surface and are common for all the pieces of this collection, varriying only in their shape, giving each object a unique personality.

The stools and side tables in this collection are produced in solid wood or casted metal. The project came from an experimentation of triangular shapes and cutouts that are common in country stools. The repetition, the rythm and strenght of these cutouts give the pieces a timeless freshness. Different dimensions and shapes enrich the collection, allowing the pieces to be utilized as stools or as side tables.

About Estúdio Dentro Visit Showroom →

Marllon Morais and Rodrigo Queiroz have different backgrounds but share the same passion for design. Marllon (born in 1995 in Itabira) is an architect with additional training in visual arts and sculpture, while Rodrigo (born in 1995 in Belo Horizonte) holds a degree in Product Design and later specialized in woodworking. From this mutual interest in experimentation and creation—seeking the essence and possibilities of contemporary design—Estúdio Dentro was born. Together, Marllon and Rodrigo develop unique objects, lighting, and furniture that explore materiality and its aesthetic value. The use of contrasting materials is a hallmark of Estúdio Dentro's work, which strives to convey lightness and purity even through the "brutality" of certain raw materials. The name "Dentro" (meaning "inside" in Portuguese) reflects the introspective nature of the designers' creative process, as they delve into their own identity and dedicate themselves fully to each piece—from conception to production. The studio was awarded in the first edition of EDIDA Brazil 2023 by Elle Decoration, winning "Object of the Year" for their "Beira" centerpieces. Since their earliest collections, Dentro's creations have gained visibility in major publications, websites, magazines, and design exhibitions. They have participated in three editions of MADE (Mercado de Arte e Design) and the Paralela fair, both in São Paulo. In 2022 and 2023, they exhibited at FuoriSalone in Milan, Italy, as part of the "Cotidiano" and "Temporal" exhibitions curated by Bruno Simões. At SP-Arte, they debuted in 2023, and this year (2025), in their third participation, they launched their Cós lighting collection.
