About Yann Gandon
Yann Gandon is a self-taught designer and woodworker from France who established his design studio in 2020. Originally based in New Zealand, he has since opened his studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Transitioning from a business background, Yann developed his practice through experimentation and an engagement with the tactile nature of materials. His approach draws from independent exploration and constant learning.

While self-taught, he has acquired a formal understanding of design systems, allowing him to bridge intuitive making with structured thinking and build a clear, personal point of view in his work.
